False Creek is Vancouver’s best neighbourhood

Fri Mar 18, 2016 4:21 pm

No surprise since Vancouver Magazine is distributed free around the expensive neighborhoods. False Creek won by a narrow margin.

"Vancouver’s best neighbourhoods (according to you)

What makes a great neighbourhood? Decide for yourself by weighting each category as you see fit"

http://vanmag.com/best-of-the-city/vanc ... alculator/

Surprise, Main St - Riley Park was 4th????

I guess I couldn't see the because of the constant torrential rain. It is the wettest neighbourhood

This article does not say False Creek is the best neighbourhood - rather, it provides a series of sliding scale questions that ranks neighbourhoods based on your answers.

False Creek is just the default answer when the page loads. However, in order for False Creek to be the best neighbourhood, you have to not care about things such as raising kids, ethnic mix, sense of community, and personal safety. Sounds awesome.

When I moved the rankings to what was important to me, #1 was yaletown at 65%, followed by Capilano at 63%. Go figure, I would never consider living in yaletown.

So, how come you aren't living in Yaletown or Capilano?

if you look closely, you'll see that all the neighbourhoods in the ranking are either Vancouver or North Van. North Burnaby is above such pitiful cries for attention.

I could probably live in Capilano, if I didn't work downtown. Yaletown is a yuppie wasteland with no personality, no thanks.
