Introduce Yourself to the Forum!

I just logged in for the first time, and was interested to know about everyone here, namely:
1) Age / Location / Occupation
2) What real estate do you own?
3) What's your view on the market going forward? Buyer or seller? Which parts of the market?
4) Anything else?

I'll start:
1) 20s / Singapore (born & raised in Van) / Investment Banker
2) Just getting started....have a few condos in coal harbour...1100-1400sf
3) Quite bearish on the 'commoditized' downtown market e.g., sub 800sf Yaletown type of well as the interest rate sensitive segment e.g., multi-tenant, entry level homes in subdivisions......bullish generally on vac'n properties and high end lots/homes.
4) I'm totally flabbergasted at people that mindlessly snap up crappy over-priced condos in less-than-desirable locations (all that new stuff they're building on seymour, richards and vicinity going for $500psf). When does the insanity end?

Im 26 born and raised in North Vancouver.

Currently own one condo close to the Lonsdale Quay.

Student at BCIT real estate program, just finishing first year looking for work with residential or commercial company to gain experience before heading back to school in sept!

HTM that was a good(but bold) projection for short term. I guess mid-term will be correct, but let's see if the longterm projection holds out.

don't own any real estate to speak of. own this 17 year old Airstream that I live in, only 36 payments left.

Are you kidding HTM? You must have owned quite a lot properties at some point of your life if not now.

I think people are reluctant to expose their holdings, which is nothing wrong. For example, HTM said he has no properties to "speak of", which doe not mean he does not hold any.

sorry. been busy

I'm 23, small business office manager.

and so far my only achievement is recently buying the house my fiance lives in now (i got 5 months to go till i get to move in). well, other then investing in real estate with other investers/partners. which do quite well.

but real estate is a definete facination for me. i'm glad my fiance usually drives because my eyes are always on the houses, and if i was driving i'd be all over the road. hoping to get into it more. but with current prices, i'm going to need to save up a little more for the next downpayment, unless completly re-painting our house raises the equity enought to refiance.

can't remember the other questions

Been in the lower mainland for 12 years now. My day job does not involve real estate/financing/etc.

Initially I bought long-term rental properties, but am thinking about looking for short term foreclosures/rehabs.
