... influence has taken away from the friendliness / politeness that used to make it special. Give me Kelowna, Vernon, Salmon Arm, Vancouver Island, Squamish, Pemberton, Whistler, Cranbrook, etc. any day over most of Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby.

A Conference Board of Canada senior economist has suggested there are affordable deals in Metro Vancouver’s expensive housing market, but is that the case?

There are, if you’re willing to be flexible.
This may bit a little nit-picky, but both Mission and Squamish are not in Metro Vancouver.

Not much in the way of comparables as there have only been 12 sales in Squamish over $700K in the last year. About three weeks ago, there was 1 sale for $1M. The house was up for 900 days. Originally listed for $1.6, then dropped to $1.3, then sold for 1M.
