Re: Game over.. A Chinese paid $51million for Point Grey man

Now with a healthy gain + currency gain, I bet some of them would be tempted to sell and lock in those gains and buy back up in Canada. Yep, bought several SFHs in LV in 201...

Geyser: The problem for me is that history tells us that after extrem price drops the long term recovery time can be decades. Geyser? What history? The reason the market went up back then, may have been different than now. Afterall, you yourself admitted that it was different in the recent past. :D...

Re: Metro Vancouver real estate bidding wars spreading to su

Yup,.... what happens if the rate goes up, and the prices go d.o.w.n.? Geyser will tell you.... You can save a luxury car each day when the prices collapse, just like what people told you on and on in 2008, but tragedy is they forgot to pull the trigger... all the cars disappeared in thin air...

But did you notice that #4 is Toronto where property prices ar...

Re: Selling in a Crashing Market.....

But you do agree that at some point it will go down, and as an astute market observer you will know that each month that passes brings us closer to the inevitable correction which most bankers suggest will be between 30% and 50%. Re: If Alberta Sneezes, will B.C. catch a Cold?

Uncle Charlie is trying to tell you that if you buy real estate, it doesn't matter what the currency does, everything being equal. If currency collapses compared to other world currencies, real estate prices will go up. Haw! Haw! Haw! Exactly. Uncle and Mama got the hot and hard properties in...
not sure what the data says, ...
It is not difficult to understand if you realizes the difference between previous market run up and this one. One 2,000,000 property set on West Vancouver unsold has equal weight in average prices to 100 houses sold in "poor" areas with $...
