The sad part is Taipan owns that mofo free and clear, and it cost more than a 1BR condo in Yaletown. I was surprised only 150 were imported into Oz. Wowzas I thought there was HAM there too :shock:

Anything priced to sell will move. Buyers just aren't willing to push up to new price levels. In Yaletown, condos are stalling at the $1000 psf mark. Looks like a standoff. let's see what inventory is like in late autumn. At the moment, there's a lot of bad news. No surprise ...

... lots and crumbling buildings where others could go. Coal Harbour perhaps being the exception. There really isn't much land left down there. The Yaletown height restriction makes things interesting as well but I still see older buildings that could be redone.

... a bull trend in other markets. Here's a recent anecdote. My neighbour (a renter) is buying a place in Steveston. Said that it was not the same as Yaletown. Told her that Steveston is very nice. Shows that there are realists still buying.
