Re: why condos aren't good investments

The same condo cost is $400K plus stata and taxes.
So the total debt servicing is liely around $2500-2600/month.
That can't be right. But consider you said "liely" I would not ask you to show your math. :)

yup, where is Vanpro? Told him it's Chinese, but he insisted Chinese have no money even buy a decent lunch. Its become quite clear that this is the issue. What bother me more is that government at all levels refuses to keep track of the actual numbers. Why are we not able to have a fact based...

Haha, it seems like I have no chance to bring my Coquitlam into the discussion.

I always wondering the reason the houses around UBC worth so much must because of the delicious hot dog that sold in student's union.

Re: why condos aren't good investments

Whip, I am a cheap landlord, and never buy any units higher than 20th for rental, so I can always tell my tenants that "there are so many metalheads above you to suck the microwaves, you have no chance to get a big "C". But one thing I agree with you that people don't need any "scientific"...

All right, treat my post as a joke.

Any way, there is no evidence that cell towers will, or have caused cancers, but people in general just don't like them, including power line etc.

Re: why condos aren't good investments

So here's a good one.... how do you as an owner handle it when the Strata Council votes to put in a cell tower on top of your strata building? Cell towers are believed to be agents of cancer. To have a tower attracting all those microwaves cannot be a good thing. So what do you do? :D Whip, I'll vo...

Re: Vancouver indvidual property sales details

There must be something wrong with the building? No? How can the price go down? Oh yes I forgot, according to the Bears, real estate never goes up . Building is ok, just aged, 30 plus years, needs some update as expect. Condo and SFH in North Burnaby are total different species, prices can go...

Re: Concrete high-rise condo vs Wood-frame townhouse

I would say off the top of my head that the townhouse would do better.
Less dense is better. :D
+1

I would say off the top my head that, SFH > Duplex > TH > Condo > Bear :P
