Re: Are interest rates finally going to rise?

I'm kind of doubtful that the Vancouver RE market is economy driven. The average wage can't afford anything. Been to a few open houses. So many young people with parents (help?).  Even non-asian. Vancouver market is driven by wealth, not incomes. Big difference. Raising rates will put locals on the...

Re: Bombshell for some Airbnb users

Why don't they put all of this effort into taxing basement suites. In east van you could throw darts at a map and locate a illigal suite. The tax revenue would be through the roof. We could afford to build a bike lane to whistler Actually basement suites aren't illegal in Vancouver.  They also prov...

Re: Vancouver indvidual property sales details

I fought off the bear trolls from 2008 to 2015. I can certainly fight off a couple of bull trolls. FYI of the newbies, I joined the forum as a bear in 2007-8. In late 2008, I flipped to be a buyer. Purchased my two-bed on Marinaside Crescent in March 2009. Spoke bullish for 6 years. In autumn of 20...

@admin how is it that Jimtan is still not banned. He posts the same graphs over and over without even understanding what he is posting. No supporting ideas or anything. Re: Property Analysis - 4672 ALPHA DR, BURNABY V5C 3M9

Its priced low for multiple bid situation. Looking at comparable properties that sold, market value should be around or above assessed price.

Re: Vancouver indvidual property sales details

Yzfr I got a private deal on the first one, so no realtor fee's.  When I sold the second one my realtor buddy did  it for a flat fee of 5000 and I got the highest priced sale on the block at the time.  That is what happens when the market is abnormally hot.   Property transfer fee's no way out of i...

Re: Vancouver indvidual property sales details

Eyes my mom had passed away and it seemed hard for my dad to stay in the same place with the memories.   So we sold in 2011, bid on some subdividable lots in 2012 and 2013.  We lost out on those lots to builders.   We bought back into 2013 and last year sold in may and made a good profit.  We bough...

Re: BC Election and effect on RE

I dont like our system. My ridding is Adrian Dixx, he's a good guy. I've seen him at many community events with his wife and it seems like he's legitimately involved. I'm not a fan of NDP so I had to vote liberal even though I know Dixx is a far superior candidate as a person. He won easily in my ri...
