Re: Mayoral Candidate Sylvia Gung - A foreign investor's wif

LOL.. I agree with reallyreal, we should elect her for comedy's sake.

I am going to enjoy to see wonder how she is going to enforce it. She probably needs to patrol the street herself and hand out fines, consider people still smoke right in front no smoke signs at Metrotown entrances.

Re: Chinese Senior evicted from his condo over parking dispu

Wow, from one man's behavior you can jump to the half of the world, ....Mn, you remind me a puppy I used to have, she thinks she is human not a dog. I am sorry, It isn't base on one man behavior. I am Asian, I grown in Asia and know it all too well how it work. There is no strata council a...

Re: Chinese Senior evicted from his condo over parking dispu

I mean this as respectfully as possible, but are Asian immigrants really that ignorant about local laws that they would put themselves at risk of eviction and loss of property? Wouldn't one educate themselves enough to know the risks? These are major transactions, you would figure a little research...

Re: Chinese Senior evicted from his condo over parking dispu

This dispute has been very strange. I don't understand why the owner has been so stubborn. The council changed bylaws, he was notified repeatedly, and had absolutely no leg to stand on. He was warned of this for months/years! Very silly position he put himself in. Like I said in Asian's mind set on...

Re: Chinese Senior evicted from his condo over parking dispu

Saw that news a while ago. The condo strata changed the bylaw that residents can't no longer park in visitor slot, however he keep park there and refused to pay the fine. What puzzles me is that he has lived in Canada for 17+ years, how can he not understand? I can image there will be more similar p...

Re: Station Square phase 2

Why would you expect a sales rep to hold a unit, based on a discussion? First one to plunk down a deposit and sign a sales contract wins. Well my mom's friend actually made a appointment with sales for next day to bring chqeue in and sign the contact. Anyway not really my business thou it will be i...

My mother's friend went there with a friend and on edge buying 2 bedroom. (530k) .The other person bought 1 bed room at 42 floor for 390k and look like tower 2 is sold out and sales are trying to push sales for tower 3. The thing I found interesting is when my mother's friend returned to there Monda...

17 Billion? Although it isn't exactly same service, I remember Kangaride that showed in dragon den had to give up 8% of company for 100k investment from Bruce which make the company value around 1M. Uber does have world wild services and more locations. Uber also need to hire drivers, purchase luxur...

Re: Station Square phase 2

Didn't they say that due to unprecedented demand they have decided to release building 3 as well? Initially previews was for the 2nd building and now they are doing 2 buildings as well. Maybe they overestimated the demand. Perhaps.. However I recall the tower 2 and tower 3 base (parking + f1 to f3)...

Re: Station Square phase 2

I just find it is interesting that they would even offer Incentive, shouldn't it sell like hot cake without incentive? My family already own a 2bed room condo in the Metrotown area and my parents is thinking add a 1 bed room near by. However that doesn't mean we must buy one since my current condo i...

Station Square phase 2

I wonder if anyone know if anyone know how well it is selling. It is very busy when I visit the preview. However I found it is interesting I receive 2 emails to remind me sale open Sunday June 8 by appointment only. (while people visited the pre-view already received appointment registration card.) ...

C-24 Bill

I wonder if C-24 bill will decrease people's interest to immigrant to Canada. Not only it will takes a lot of longer to become citizen, (8 to 10 years compare to 4 to 6 years now.) but also you can lose your citizenship easy. A CIC instead Federal Court judge can revoke your citizenship if C-24 bill...

Re: Could Beijing build a high-speed train to Vancouver?

I dunno.. Are Russia, USA and Canada going to agree to spend the money to help build and maintain the track? China's construction standard doesn't necessary meet the standard of Russia, USA and Canada as well. For travelers it doesn't make much sense. I mean it takes about 12 hrs for traveler travel...
