Vancouver market is driven by wealth, not incomes. Big difference. Raising rates will put locals on the sidelines while foreigners continue to buy. The opposite of what they want (so they say). I'm kind of doubtful that the Vancouver RE market is economy driven. The average wage can't afford anything. Been to a few open houses. So many young people with parents (help?).  Even non-asian.

The date is 5/15. Did they sign before or after the provincial election? offers was yesterday. it sold yesterday. everybody is bringing bankdrafts to the table at offer time. colleague was busy looking at other opens at the same time. hes looking to buy a few units for rental.

Address, sale price and date Exactly.  Thats the right away to go unlike he/she/it i had the decency to ask my realtor to get info, and post actual stats/sales of comparables in the same area, similar lot, and house.   ...

If you guys can recall, I called this rebound about 3 or 4 weeks ago when I saw the raw data in the field (homes selling or under contract).  Doesn't matter how you spin the numbers we are at peak or above it.  I still think we will see an increase of house prices this year of about 10% to 15%.  Co...
