Re: Is it me or is the Westside getting creamed?

Tom,

There's a huge difference in the data for Richmond. Check out these neighborhoods in the stats center.

Riverdale, Seafair, and Terra Nova.
Can you post the avg, median, and hpi for these areas?
Why are they giving a different story?

Thanks,

Re: Vancouver indvidual property sales details

Timber, Nice work!!! When you and I need to buy some RE, we know what to offer and we know where to look. We don't need that so called expertise from realtors. So, when I buy, I will not need a realtor. I'm my own realtor and I will take that other half of the commission. That jimmy, is a smart inve...

Re: Vancouver indvidual property sales details

You're asking Tom? He never replied why he listed his Gilley home as South facing when it was actually west facing. Chinese people like south facing for feng shui. He is right about pockets of the market doing well now. But it's a time when sales should be better. But I wouldn't get too excited as s...

Re: NDP in May - how bad for RE?

So yeah, if the Liberals keep power, I'm calling RE prices to moderate by 20% on average.....if NDP win, it's closer to 40%.... and all that nasty sh*t above Some of you bears will say anything to keep 'the great RE crash' hopes alive. Really? Did you see what I posted in the Richmond thread? Can y...

Geyser,

Nice post.

We both think alike but really dislike different idiots. You've been right before with a bold call, I think you'll be right again this time around. 8)

Re: Vancouver indvidual property sales details

Good news about North Burnaby.

There isn't a lot around in that area. ANd hastings east of Willingdon is improving by the month.
And 2 Grosvenor Ave can't sell. It's already asking over 10% below peak pricing for this brand new home on Capital Hill.

Re: Photos: Vancouver's 10 worst rental buildings

Jimmy, Please note that you (and the rest of the noisy crowd) will lose even if prices remain flat for the rest of the year. Thanks for the smart advice, but I'm up 6% on my portfolio ytd. You're confusing yourself again. ETB came here to insult and confuse many potential buyers with her data. Let m...

You said you make 40k a year, Surrey you can buy a 1 bdr for 150k. Main and 33 will run you double the price for as similar property.

Didn't you say you were going to buy in Brentwood 1 years ago?

Re: Are Prices Dropping as Fast as you Predicted/Hoped?

There's a lot of economic activity I think that people are delaying because of the HST and I suspect that could blow over into RE purchases as well. Perception is one, but also some people like to reno when they buy. Really? I bet you didn't know that most Asian and East Indian people don't pay tax...

Re: Introduce Yourself to the Forum!

Hi I am interested in creating a set of RE charts for Canda, mostly the major cities. I am not an investor, my view about the RE market is rather bearish and I guess that is all you need to know about me :-) my pleasure to join you recharts Welcome and I hope to see your work soon.
