Re: Olympic village - not a desirable area to buy anymore!

Aren't you glad that you didn't buy?

Or, are you buying cheap after spreading the bad news?

FYI i noticed that red lantern like to bash the Olympic Village quite often for some reason.

Re: I see prices dropping

No, MR Picky, I'm not changing my tune. I can see two homes listed for under 700k. One has no basement, the other is a fixer but I still think that's very good deal. Fixers were going for more not that long ago. http://www.realtor.ca/propertyDetails.aspx?propertyId=13563739&PidKey=796806788 Pender ...

Re: I see prices dropping

i watch the NB market too as I plan to build there one day. I noticed the few homes just under 700k are tear downs or need a major renovation. Also a few fixer uppers I noticed have sold along Pender and Albert too. Not sure the price but probably in the $730k-$740K range. In van I have a friend wit...

Invest in Canadian Real Estate! High growth opportunity in S

Surrey is one of the fastest growing cities in North America. All experts agree, Surrey is to replace Vancouver as the economic hub of the lower mainland in the next few years. Surrey has some of the lowest taxes in BC, and property is considerably under-valued based on average household income. Van...

Re: Vancouver mayor sells home, exits at top of bubble! Sell

he exited his home at the top of a bubble to buy another home? That doesn't sound bearish to me. Even if the media twists stories around, how much of him not buying another house could be "twisted"? Its either he bought or didn't, right? Which hedge funds are shorting Vancouver real estate and Vanco...

Re: Realtor Present to Achieve Commissions

Good catch.. I was not aware of this. A townhouse I previously owned that sold a few years back was sold without my realtor at the showing but he still got full commission. I wonder if its too late to bring this up..?? but the question comes who would be entitled to the commission then?

Re: I saw new sold signs... yup

Saw a couple of big sales in North Burnaby the last couple of days. Absolute head-scratchers. New build (I don't love it - but that's just taste) sold for north of $1.4M on a 33 foot lot. Which is $200K greater than the next best one   Another one was a 20 year old home that sold for ...
