Re: Is the boom over?

No. Without a doubt the BEST thing is coming back here once a year and seeing ReallyReal2 STILL obsessively ranting away, desperately hoping that somebody other than the crickets are listening. News flash! They aren't. It's so unbelievable it's actually sad. See you @ the end of 2019 for another reu...

Re: Had lunch with Semven, Thompson & Horton.

is dinktom even a realtor anymore? probably better off that he quit that career - he wasn't very good from what I read. Wow. This is creepy. ReallyReal is STILL here crying and posting about me?? Ha! That is INSANE!  This, my friends, is a true example of a very sad and very lonely life.  (Or he/sh...

Re: Silence of the Fawkers #2.... where are they???

Maybe when thinktom is back from trying to make himself famous he can fill us in. You mean raising money and awareness for orphaned/abandoned/abused children at SOS Children's Villages International I think.  And, yes, it was more successful than we ever dreamed possible. :-) http://www.aroundthewo...

Re: April Sales Remain @ Record Levels Across Metro Vancouve

Yes, I know I missed the top with that disposition but trying to catch the market top exposes one to the dramatically increasing risk of being caught long on RE when the bubble finally and dramatically bursts. Or do you subscribe to the quaint notion that because this this bubble has now been infla...

Re: private appraisal vs realtor appraisal

Geez - who would hire someone like tom as a realtor. can't even be bothered to read the simplest detail about the guy's situation. Too busy hearing what he wants to hear rather than listening to the needs of his potential client. typical though Grow up. I answered from Taipei (!) and a Chinese keyb...

I'm in Comox.
Roger that. Appraisers are not the ones who have to sell the property. Realtors have a pulse on the current market more closely. Just make sure your tenant is paying absolute TOP dollar.

Re: Thoughts From My 1st Visit to China (Fuzhou)

the locals and natives here had it good here for so long, maybe didn't realize the value and just receded into the complacency of it.

I think this is the painfully obvious reality.
This. Absolutely.

Tell them to get paid by the seller. Note that they might try to list the property afterwards if the offer is refused.

Re: private appraisal vs realtor appraisal

Chuck. Have you lost your mind?? Why on earth would you give up multple offers on your property? To save $15K?? It makes no sense whatsoever. List your house on MLS, have it properly marketed, and sell it for HUGE dollars. And no I am not soliciting the property. But ANYONE who sells privately in th...

Thoughts From My 1st Visit to China (Fuzhou)

Hello RET'ers, First of all, we are in Fuzhou for my family's journey, (http://www.AroundTheWorldIn80Anthems.com), NOT business. However, as a 16 year Vancouver Realtor, I thought I'd offer some thoughts. I am writing this from a land computer in Taipei as my ipad does not like RET very much (anyone...

Re: Happy New Year to my friends (& haters lol) on RET!

Thx Geyser. Right back at ya'. Agreeing to disagree is such an important sign of respect and I know we share that. As for 'haters' like ReallyReal, social media has clearly proven that remaining anonymous allows cowards and unhappy people to focus on anything, rather than their own sad reality. Look...

Kits Home Sells For Epic Dollars.

Greetings from South Korea. This house in Kits went for a pretty massive price. Really? $4M now for a reno'd 33?? " Kitsilano real estate records were broken on Tuesday after a home sold for $735,000 over the asking price of $3.5 million. The house at 3555 West 1st Avenue was built in 1912, is 3,400...
