It’s all about square footage and location, location, location. 

A SFH in a poor location will be much cheaper per square foot than a condo in a good location. Currently we see nice condos in good neighbourhoods are still available for only a modest premium over old houses in bad neighbourhoods, it makes sense that the condo market is currently hot while the SFH market is on life support.

Personally I think that even after the recent drops in SFH prices, both houses and condos are significantly overpriced.

That’s stupid expensive, I grew up in that neighbourhood.. it’s not even that nice. Its kinda ghetto near low income housing near Nanimo skytrain station.

If that’s a accurate representation of the market, my house will be worth 2 million.

I think it might be time to sell and move to Edmonton.

Keep in mind pre 1940 home are going to sell at a premium now since the city will be approving infill that can be stratified and sold. Also, well kept character 1.5 storey home will always be strong sellers
