Thanks for your message of congratulations Warren12. I slept on my purchase last night, awoke and am still very pleased. I'm sticking with it and won't be turning this over as an assignment (sorry everyone). The finishing are quite good and the price per square foot was reasonable on the 2 BR I bought. The prices were not that much more than Marine Gateway per square foot and I've got downtown parking! That said, there is no T & T downstairs. :)

As far as new condo developments go, this is one I would feel most comfortable with. Congrats on the purchase!

I'm excited to see this development take shape.

Because it is a Telus project, the company decided to offer its employees the first opportunity to purchase. Magnum expects Telus employees to participate or purchase 25% of the units. Telus employees and other groups have now purchased pretty well all of the 1 bedrooms in the project. As the priority preview email stated, 2 bedroom units start at $680k. Most Telus employees wrote their contracts on Mar 18 and have 8 days to decide whether they will keep their units. So there is a possibility some units will come back. Initial returns have been lower than expected though and those returned are usually coveted units.

Please note that availability is severely limited. We advise you to prepare for the following plans:

You won't want to miss your opportunity to be part of Vancouver real estate history. Please review the following steps to prepare for your purchase opportunity.

Prepare For Your Purchase Opportunity
1. Decision makers: Please ensure all decision makers are present.

2. Offers: No conditional offers will be accepted.

3. Select: We advise you choose your top home selections in advance of the early purchase opportunity. Due to the high interest in this project, we encourage you to make several home selection options in order to avoid disappointment.

4. Deposit: Please be prepared to present a cheque for $20,000 payable to "Kornfeld Mackoff Silber LLP in trust". This will need to be replaced with a bank draft within 24 hours.

5. Arrival: Please use our entrance at 768 Seymour Street. Doors open today at 12pm sharp and sales will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

We look forward to introducing you to this monumental project.

Best of luck to anyone who went.

Don't see what's wrong with their tone. They did a good job organizing the croud.

All the 1bdrms are gone. Telus employees bought them all. Only 2bdrms from $679K still avail

Actually there were less than 20 units available before the start of this Sunday's Event. Remaining units were on higher levels and no 1 bedrooms were available.

If higher floors 1Bds were sold in $500,000's+Taxes, they went for $900+Can/sq.ft. Wow.

SO not worth it. Unless you like the view of the telus office employees outside your window or the next building in front of you.
Watch the values drop in a few years when it's built and owners realize they ain't getting a view.

The upper units will have awesome views. This is a 53 fl building !
Second tallest in Vancouver. The new office building is only 30 fl and the older building on Seymour much less.
Check out the view:

The lower level suites you're talking about with office views sold for under $600 sq ft . Fantastic value when the quality of the building is considered.
