Went by the sales centre and all the Stinky Mainlanders were ther in their Mercedes Benzo's and Beemers, not many whites maybee 5% mostly slanty eyes. Well the units are tiny anyhow.

If there is going to be a frenzy of sales it will start near the end of February, so subjects can be removed. (And financing subjects are of course not common, so I've heard...) Another tooth on the ratchet; how many times does it need to be said? The longer you wait the smaller and more distant what you can afford becomes.

The lineup at the Marine Gateway project was setup by the developer. Just like developments in Richmond. There is little interest for condos at this time. Why do people in this city believe that prices will go up forever? There will be a downturn, I think it's starting now. It's not the end of the world. It's been quite a run though

I just came from PCI's Marine Gateway project. There was a 1 kilometer line up of Mainland Chinese. I have never seen so many Mercedes, BMW's, Audi's, Bentleys, Range Rovers and Aston Martin cars in my life. These people definitely have money. Sales people tell me this project will sell out in a day. My friend with me speaks Mandarin. She could hear everyone in the line up talking about the year of the Dragon and this is the best time to buy in Vancouver. Definitely lots of excitement. If they run out of condos I can see a riot breaking out.

Take the Canada Line to this project and check out the buzz.

in the under 2M detached, TH, duplex there were 20 total sales. So either the remaining 36 were HAM sales or condo

In all seriousness, Westside sales have shown a significant up tick. Activity has increased tremendously. My friend who is a westside realtor is buying houses to flip to the Mainland Chinese. He is putting his money where his mouth is. He deserves every penny of profit that he makes because I think he has big balls to be doing this.

He has been making so much money flipping homes to Mainland Chinese for the last 11 years, he has actually got quite arrogant and quite an ego to go along with it. He can afford to have a house or two sit empty for awhile.

My friend who knows some guys who have contacts in Mainland China indicates that June sales are going to pick up big time. The delay was mostly due to the Bo Xilai fiasco, but that's all cleared up now and it's full speed ahead. In my friend's words: "Anything that isn't bolted down is heading for Vancouver."
