This must be an election year.
He isn't listening to anyone but developers.

Here is what needs to happen.
Redone all of Vancouver. Any lot size greater than 5000sqft should be zoned for multi-family. Then Chinese can the compete with developers for these properties.
Being able to buy a detached infill at 1500sqft rather than a full house and yard will cut 50% off the cost.
This will free up hundreds of lots for development for families.
I don't think the Chinese who are buying here will like these kind of neighbourhoods.

You should run for elections. In the meantime, thank your lucky stars that the NPA is NOT the government.
You might want to consider the net increase of 11k units in the Cambie Corridor...

its good that they are restricting supply and making rental homes keeping freehold prices high. to the moon!

in collingwood many of them are. between 5 to 6 million per vancouver special(lot value)

Condos and townhouses and row houses. So, enough for the not=so=picky.
BTW, I've have keeping an eye open around the Oakridge area. Many For Sale signs, but just one Sold sign. Looks like Steve Saretsky's right. Affordability is an issue for local Vancouverites.
