What would you do if Clinton won?
Let's assume that Clinton doesn't win by a landslide. Means that her political capital is limited.
Will have to reconfigure her alliances. She will have to pay off her left-wing allies like Warren and Bernie. What else on her agenda? She's a weak president and hated by the right wing. TPP is dead. She doesn't have any original ideas anyway.
Democrats might have a senate majority but GOP will still have Congress. Still deadlock. Not gonna solve the nation's problems. Wait for the 2020 election. Likely to be a brutal repeat of 2016, with a Donald clone coming at her. Without the Donald's sordid baggage.
What about finances? She'll run a slightly larger budget deficit. Means that Fed will quit QE and raise rates faster. Is that good for you? Are you a saver or borrower? Are you invested in assets that are sensitive to interest rates?
Diplomatically, she will likely take a harder stance than Obama. Break out the flags. A woman commander-in-chief. Likely to be confrontational with Putin and the Chinese. The Mexicans can breath easy. Latinos are her political ally.
So many stumbling blocks down the road. Where have the fundamentals changed? Are you invested or investing in the winners of tomorrow?
