The problem with Taipan is not his wildly premature predictions of doom, lots of other folks have been making those for years, some for even longer than him.

The problem is that he is incapable of stating his case in a reasonable and mature manner .

This table simply shows what a person who can afford to spend 31,374 p.a can afford to spend on housing under different term and interest settings. As Canada has had massively expansionary monetary policy over recent years and that has now been wound back you are moving from the top left hand corner to the bottom right hand corner!

When one of the forum's most prolific and pontificating posters has a serious credibility gap it seems to be very much on point to make it known. In the unlikely event that anybody still takes him seriously it seems important that people are aware of his many failings. Only with an accurate understanding of the source can one fairly judge the content of his messages.

OK, Taipan's request to have his old posts revisited appears to have popular support so I'll collate them (there are a lot) and try and get them posted on our "squabble" thread later today.

I won't be able to post my own racist comments because they only exist in Taipan's head. Although I'm an old white guy I can assure you I have very good reasons to react badly to the sort of stuff that he used to subject us to over the years, that is one of my primary reasons for regarding him with such open contempt. That and the endless, deceitful bragging - both are strong indicators of a massive inferiority complex but I don't accept his mental issues as a viable excuse.

In my mind racists (of any ethnic origin) are a pathetic bunch of losers who need to have a light shone on them. Usually when that happens they scurry back into the shadows just like the loathsome cockroaches they are.

BTW, I was earlier accused of "playing the racist card". Actually it is Snakey who has repeatedly been doing that by trying to convince everybody that he was only resorting to his own vile rants because he was defending Canadians from Johnny Horton whom he claims was an anti white racist. What does any of this racism talk have to do with a realtor predicting a market correction? Who cares about racism in a RE forum. I am sure there are forums for that.

I would like to congratulate this realtor for speaking the truth. He probably lost some friends in the realtor community by speaking the truth. Or, as I like to call it, a win-win.
