BC & Vancouver Pop. Growth Continues to PLUNGE

Postby vanpro » Fri Jun 22, 2012 7:02 am

Contrary to popular myth, BC's population growth continues to fall and is WAY BELOW early 1990's levels due to out-migration to other provinces and plunging international immigration!!! Data is from latest Q1, 2012 stats released by BC Stats (http://www.bcstats.gov.bc.ca/Publicatio ... ights.aspx) and analyzed expertly here:

That's great - but I'm more concerned about greater Vancouver specifically.

As of June 8, 2012 update from RBC's "Canadian City Trends" report, Vancouver's population growth (as of May/12) is at a measely 1.6% per annum ranking a LOWLY 8th and lagging behind: Saskatoon (2.7%), Edmonton (2.3%), Calgary (2.1%), Toronto (2.1%), Oshawa (1.9%), Regina (1.9%), and Ottawa (1.7%)....
