Look at this stunning celebrity villa/mansion in very nice Hollywood Hills area of Los Angeles which is 50% bigger sqft house and 2.0 TIMES LOT size and way nicer home than what you get in Vancouver for same asking price!!!

that home is incredible - great location too.
Unfortunately, I don't have a west side home to finance my move to LA
the cure for higher prices is moving to a destination with lower prices

Hollywood Hills is a pretty nice area, I never liked anything after La Brae Street, Holywood itself is SUPER seedy!

Its an old timer although renovated. It was built in 1933. Only 4 beds and 5 baths

I'd rather live in this one - brand new with 8 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms

The sun is overrated.

FYI - that's not a SFH. It's a small apartment complex.

Only in Vancouver do people forget or ignore what the "S" stands for in SFH.

I'd rather maximize my income. There's nothing wrong with having tenants downstairs. If you choose your tenants carefully and learn the law, then you won't have any problems. For example, did you know in BC law, that your SISTER or BROTHER is not considered a close family member? That means if you evict a tenant for landlords use and you say your sister wants to live there, then if your ex tenant finds out, you owe him or her two months rent as a penalty?

I'd prefer my own house.

The smart cookies at Statscan figured it out. Just see how the "single family" dwelling roll calls from previous censuses seem to show a percipitous drop. Well yes, but only because they kept getting multiple censuses from dwellings they thought were "single family". Then some bright light started to look a bit deeper and figured out those aren't single family dwellings at all, they's be multiplexes.
