Shorting MIC.TO could be risky way to hedge housing prices

Postby Austin » Thu May 10, 2012 5:02 pm

I've been thinking about this, and if CHMC is privatized (perhaps even sold to MIC), then they would be at less of a competitive disadvantage to CMHC itself. One possibility is that the Finance Minister may keep the 90% guarantee for companies like Genworth but get rid of the 100% guarantee for CMHC.

Something to keep in mind for anyone who's shoring MIC.TO as a way to arbitrage against a fall in housing prices.
Redistribute consumption, not income.

If that's true all it means is the criminals in the fed found yet a more efficient way to shift social support from taxpayers to corporations. Worst government since King.
